Drew Marler grew up in Opelika/Auburn, Al. listening and playing music in a musically enthusiastic family, with his mother a pianist and father a writer and professional storyteller. He played his first show at a honky tonk truck stop at age 15, and began playing live shows regularly with his twin brother, under The Bros. Marler. The twins took different directions after high school.
