The Green Levels formed in Charleston, SC in 2008. While early on the band went through several iterations, an acoustic trio quickly emerged comprised of Stephen Jenkins on guitar, Bobby Hogg on upright bass, and Elliott Genther on mandolin. Combined, these three individuals have come to form a sound all their own. Not quite straight ahead bluegrass, not quite folk, not quite acoustic jam rock, sometimes all of the above. Sometimes Lionel Richie! The influences that each member brings to the table has led to the formation of quite an eclectic trio…one that proves time and time again to surprise and delight. Green Levels remains one of Charleston’s best kept musical secrets.
